I am drawn to moments when something familiar begins to feel different.

Often it is something small: a shape, something caught by the light, a path that stops, or something that seems slightly out of place.

I keep returning to familiar places and subjects. Not only for what is there, but for what I notice while moving through them. Things appear and disappear. Some seem inviting, others keep their distance. Small details and traces of people become part of what I see.

These photographs come from those encounters. I don't want to explain them too much. I want to leave some room for what I saw, and for what someone else might see.
